KM Player

KM Player, short for K-Multimedia Player, is a media player for Windows built around one core promise: playing almost any file you throw at it without needing extra codecs installed separately. It supports VCD, DVD, AVI, MKV, Ogg, OGM, 3GP, MPEG-1/2/4, AAC, WMA, WMV, RealMedia, FLV, and QuickTime formats out of the box.

Beyond simple playback, KMPlayer handles a wide range of subtitle formats and includes built-in tools for capturing audio, video, and screenshots directly from whatever you're watching - useful for saving a clip or a specific frame without a separate screen-recording tool.

Under the hood, KMPlayer uses both internal and external filters to manage connections between splitters, decoders, and audio/video transform components. Its internal filters aren't registered in the system registry, which avoids the conflicts that can occur when multiple media players compete over the same system-wide codec filters - a detail that helps KMPlayer coexist cleanly with other media software already installed on your PC.
